Give them a notebook to tell what matters.
For your loved ones, at your pace.
A place for them to share with you, at their own pace, the things that truly matter.
So many stories to gather
- and nowhere for them to live.

Chapter 1
Childhood and origins
What is the farthest back your memory reaches?
I am five, perhaps six. The kitchen smells of warm Sunday bread, and I hear my mother humming in the next room…
Carnely is made for that.

The gesture
They open it. And they write.
They put down whatever they wish: a piece of text, a photograph, their voice. A letter addressed to someone. A recipe. A childhood memory.
They choose the chapter that speaks to them today. They answer a question, or they write without one. They close it. They come back when they wish.
Those in their circle open it the moment they entrust it. They know, in return, what has touched their own.
Three gestures, at their pace.
They write what counts, they set down what was sleeping elsewhere, and they choose who it will reach. At their own pace.
Tell. They answer a question that speaks to them, or they write without one. A memory, an anecdote, a letter addressed to those who matter to them. Eleven chapters to guide them, and all the room they need for what comes without a question.
Three lines we have kept since the first day. They say what they will find here, and what they will never find.
The time they will need.
No progress bar, no goals, no reminders. They write when it comes. No one is rushed.
Their writing feeds nothing but their own.
No model training, no reselling, no advertising. It stays in Carnely, accessible only to them and to those they will have chosen.
As long as they write, we remain.
Carnely is not a project of opportunity. And if one day it had to end, they would keep everything, in one file that belongs to them.

The founding story
« Carnely began with a conversation with a woman in her sixties, who needed this place - for herself, and for her mother. »
Two generations, one missing place. A place that didn't exist.
Beyond the keyboard
They can also write by speaking.
A small microphone in every text field: they speak, Carnely writes. Useful when typing is not the easiest, or when telling it out loud comes more naturally.
What smell takes you back to childhood?
Their circle
They invite their own, in a few clicks.
They invite their close ones by email. Each creates a free account - reading and reacting cost nothing. The link is mutual: they see what is entrusted to them, you see what they entrust to you. Nothing is ever public.

What comes back to them
They see what it does for you.
When you open a memory they entrust to you, you can, with one gesture, tell them you were touched, that you thank them, that you remember. No counters, no cascade: a quiet, named return that comes back to them.
You were touched by their memory.
